Found in the back (garden) of the House of the Great Fountain, it is made of mosaic and shells. The artistic style is possibly from Egypt. Theatrical masks made of marble are attached on both the sides. Water would flow down the steps behind the statuette of the boy carrying a dolphin.
This mosaic fountain is found at casa degli scienziati near the House of the Vettii.
